This Italian-built Wal was delivered to Lufthansa as D-1648. The photo is from a Dutch postcard captioned 'Dornier Wal flying boat - licence: Aviolanda, Papendrecht', but this Dutch company only built the military variant and had nothing to do with this airframe.
