This 727 was formerly operated by the United States Marshals Service as part of their Justice Prisoner and Alien Transportation System (JPATS) from 1990. It was withdrawn from service by 2007 and has been stored in El Paso ever since. A proposed sale to Benin fell through, and the aircraft's registration was officially cancelled on 30 May 2018.
