VH-ECD was delivered to Qantas in December 1959. It was notable in the Qantas fleet for operating the first Electra service from Sydney to Johannesburg via Melbourne, Perth, Cocos Islands and Mauritius in April 1963. In 1970 it was leased to Air Zealand as ZK-TED. It did not return to the Australian register and was sold in the Nomads travel club as N863E in 1971.
