Swedish count (kreivi in Finnish) Eric von Rosen donated the Finnish White Guard its first aircraft, a Thulin Typ D, in March 6th 1918, during the Finnish Civil War. This date is considered to be the birth date of the Finnish Air Force. Since then three different aircraft have been named after him, HN-457 being the latest.
