The sole twin-engine Marathon, powered by Armstrong Siddeley Mamba turboprops. First flown on 23 July 1949 by which time Miles was bankrupt. The aircraft was already registered as G-AHXU in 1946! Photo print marked 5 October 1949. Military serial VX231 applied in May 1951. By late 1952 it only had 66 flying hours.
