Originally delivered to Asiana Airlines as HL7266 November 7, 1992, this 767 would be leased (from ILFC) in December 1998 by Canadian Airlines. The lease continued when Air Canada took over Canadian Airlines. Air Canada planned to retire the 767 fleet as 787s arrived, but delays in delivery and new opportunities kept the 767s soldiering on. Last revenue flight of this aircraft with Air Canada was April 29, 2017. It was transferred to Rouge after refurbishment and painting the following June.
