Ex 43-48248, this C-47 was delivered to the USAF on 28 July 1944 and served with the 9th Air Force by 31 August 1944, it was involved in various projects and eventually became N21669 in February 1983, before receiving registration N845S on 14 July 1992. It received several other registrations during its carreer with the US Government as a BT-67 version, and is eventually seen here at Bogota, adorned with the maroon cheatline of the US Department of State, which operated the aircraft at the time to support its activities worldwide.
