Locally based, Indigenous owned Iskwew Air (pronounced ISS-KWAY-YO) flies three of these Piper Navajo's out of the South Terminal to Qualicum Beach on Vancouver Island. A once familiar sight, the Navajo was operated by a number of now long gone "South Side" carriers such as Island Express Air and Orca Airways. This aircraft was previously with Orca Airways until their AOC was suspended by Transport Canada in 2018 following "repeated non-compliance with aviation safety regulations".
