The Re.2000 was one of two Italian aircraft types bought by the Flygvapnet when WWII broke out. It was given the designation J 20 and assigned to F 10 based at Bulltofta in Malmö. There, one of the aircraft's duties was to pilot foreign aircraft to suitable airfields, when they needed to make an emergency landing in Sweden during WWII. This J 20 arrived by rail from Italy in 1942 and, after the war was over, was used for ground instructional training so many panels were removed. The aircraft was later transferred to the museum at Malmen and is the only complete example of the type extant. This photo is copyright © Alastair T.
