Ex VL348. Registered to T.A.T. Limited (Tippers Air Transport) on 6 October 1967. Sold to the British Historic Aircraft Museum at Southend, Essex G-AVVO moved there in September 1968. The venture did not work as anticipated and her condition deteriorated to the extent that in 1971 she was being used as spares for the Historic Aircraft Museum's other Anson. During 1970/71 the Newark Air Museum 's Anson, G-ALIH, was being restored but was partly destroyed by fire in May '71. G-AVVO was acquired to replace it by utilising G-ALIH's wings and 'VO's fuselage. This photo is copyright © Gordon Riley, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
