Delivered to Lufthansa in March 1956 and sold in March 1968, to Hank Wharton's North American Aircraft Trading Co for use in the Biafran Airlift. Given the false registration 5T-TAK and later N8025, the aircraft arrived in Lisbon in September 1968, was subsequently abandoned and eventually scrapped in 1981. The nose was preserved at the TAP museum in Lisbon for a number of years and later moved to the Museo do Ar at Sintra. This photo was added on 9 December 2024, and has since been viewed 132 times. |
