Delivered to the US Navy as 131597 in 1953. To the USAF as 51-17647 in 1958 then back to the US Navy as 131597 in 1964. Stored at Davis-Monthan AFB in 1985. Sold as N21780 then reregistered as N1597F in 1990. Crashed while attempting to land at Patriot Hills, Antarctica in poor weather in 1993.
