The third Avro 707 airframe, following on the 707B, VX790. First flight on 4 June 1951. During 1954 its wing was given a kinked leading edge as adopted on Vulcan. Transferred to RAAF for research flights at Laverton in 1956, painted silver rather than red. Survives in RAAF Museum collection. This photo was added on 30 December 2024, and has since been viewed 111 times. |
