Originally built as a J/1 Autocrat, G-AGYD was registered -4 February 1946 and was converted to a J/1N Alpha in 1965. On 25 November 1990, it incurred significant damage when it flew into power lines during a practice forced-landing at Cawston, Norfolk. It was cancelled by the CAA 14 January 1991 but was restored to the register 15 December 1992 for rebuild. It was again cancelled by the CAA 24 October 2022, with current status unknown.
