Originally built in 1972 as a Learjet 25, this is one of only five later classified as a Learjet 28 by virtue of the new wing design and winglets apparently added in 1977. Originally intended as a tested for the Learjet 55, the modifications demonstrated excellent climb performance but were ultimately unsuccessful as the winglets meant deletion of the tip-tanks and therefore reduced range. Still shows in records as a Learjet 25 This photo is copyright © Richard Vandervord, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
