The L-29 flew as a training aircraft with the Bulgarian AF from 1964 until 1998. This particular aircraft was the first ever L-29 delivered to the Bulgarian AF. It served with the Air Force Academy 'G. Benkovski' at Shtraklevo air base (now Ruse (LHRS)) and flew until around 1985. This photo is copyright © Alastair T.
