This aircraft was destroyed on 17th July 1982 whilst it was parked at Old Warden when Beech Musketeer G-AYWS crashed upon it whilst taking off and both were consumed in the ensuing fire, sadly the 2 occupants of the Musketeer were killed. Thankfully the Fox Moth was the subject of an epic restoration by Ben and Jan Cooper at the Newbury Aeroplane Company and is now based in Germany with the Luftraum Sud collection at Aalen.
