slide scan from the NK collection. - Filipinas Orient Airways acquired two ex-United Airlines Caravelles from Sterling in 1972. It is not sure whether they really entered service; the then president of the Philippines declared "martial law" in September 1972, and the airline had to suspend its operations. The Caravelle shown here was intended for Transasian Airlines, but this was ntu and the aircraft was scrapped at Manila in 1976. This photo was added on 22 January 2025, and has since been viewed 306 times. |
