The third Viscount, first flown on 28 August 1950 from Brooklands which still had a grass runway at that time. The aircraft wore a Vickers livery in 1952 and 1953 and again from March 1955. Details seem to date the photo in the later period. Military serial WB499 was issued to cover high speed trials in 1956, but does not seem to have been worn.
