Prototype Airspeed Oxford, the "3" was from the New Types exhibition at the 18th RAF Display at Hendon on 26 June 1937. Press photo from my collection - photographer Charles E Brown. The aircraft survived until written off (damaged beyond repair) on 22 May 1943 when serving with No. 15 (P) AFU it crashed on landing at RAF Ramsbury, Wiltshire. No injuries reported among the crew of two. This photo was added on 25 January 2025, and has since been viewed 56 times. |
