A Vampire T11 trainer of Central Flying School, which had some aircraft of this type. If I understand correctly, instructors of Vampire-equipped schools came over to Little Rissington for check flights with CFS examiners or 'trappers' in these jets. Hastings WD485 wears a No 114 Sqn marking and that should date the photo between 1959 and 1961. This photo was added on 11 February 2025, and has since been viewed 203 times. |
