This P-40 served in the Pacific with the USAAF as 41-19841 and was eventually abandoned on Espiritu Santu, Vanuatu. Fortunately she was rescued from the jungle in the 1970 and has been restored as 'Lee's Hope', flown by 1st Lt. Robert J. Duffield in North Africa/Mediterannean. Pictured taxying in after her display at Flying Legends 2014. This photo is copyright © Alastair T. Gardiner, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
