This airframe was first factory-built full production version designated the BD-5D which the company planned to certify and sell for $4,400, but none were built due to their financial problems. This particular aircraft was exhibited at the 1978 Farnborough Air Show and is still shown as current on the FAA register with an owner in Southern California.
