Former 113th TFS/181st TFG of Hulman Field, Terre Haute (IN) went into storage at AMARC on 7 November 1979 and received inventory code FE626. It left the storage depot for Tracor Flight Systems Inc., Mojave (CA) and was converted to QF-100F in 1989. It received drone code 395. It was shot down over the Gulf of Mexico by an AIM-9M on 12 July 1990. To avoid being stabbed, the pitot tube of the F-100 was able to raise.
