Close-up of the nose art on "Delectable Doris". Built as 44-44272, served with the RAF as KH401, then the Indian AF as HE771. Sold in USA as N94459, painted as "42-50551". Delivered to Duxford from Poona AB October 28th 1973 for maintenance/re-painting. Delivered to USA from Duxford August 27th 1975. Displayed at the Fantasy of Flight in Florida in 2025. The nose art may have proved too raunchy for some as the aeroplane was later renamed "Joe" This photo is copyright © Terry Dann, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
