Delivered April 26, 1982 as N792N "Queen City Pacemaker", N246US is pictured just before officially merged with US Airways in August 1989 and the Piedmont name would disappear. US Air would retire the 737 in December 2001 and store it at Mohava, CA. Sold to AVIACSA in March 2009, the aircraft was stored again in Mexico City when the authorities revoked the airline's operating certificate in 2009 for maintenance concerns.
