Built 1946 as a J/1 Autocrat and registered -8 August 1946. Converted to a J/1N Alpha in June 1956. It was destroyed by fire at High Cross, Ware on or prior to 24 July 2001. Given that a cigarette-lighter and shrivelled glove were found in the debris after the fire, it was thought that a fuel thief had probably accidentally set the aircraft alight. Cancelled 24 July 2001 as Destroyed. This photo is copyright © Mike Cain, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
