Delivered to Alitalia as DC-6B I-DIMB in 1956 to Societa Aerea Mediterranea in 1963 and the Italian Air Force as MM61900 in 1964. Returned to Alitalia as I-DIMB in 1968 and converted to a DC-6A/B freighter. Sold as N4913R in 1972 then to Zantop International Airlines in 1973. Withdrawn from use at Detroit-Willow Run by 1987.
