This venerable Auster was built as a Cirrus Autocar and registered new in Australia on 7 July 1954. It was withdrawn from use in July 1976 for conversion with a Lycoming flat engine and returned to the Register in February 1980. It has spent most of its life as a glider tug at Cunderdin, WA and made a unique pilgrimage to the east coast for the Avalon Airshow and the Antique Aeroplane Association fly-in.
