3 Apr '55: TOS USAF and assigned to the 71st Air Refueling Squadron/397th Bombardment Wing (Heavy) Dow AFB, ME. Sep '64: Ferried to the Strategic Air Command Museum, Offutt AFB, NE. 1997: Trucked to new SAC Museum at Ashland, NE. Somewhere along the line restoration used the tail of 53-0310, which was scrapped at St. Joseph, MO.
