One of six Twin Otters built for the government of Canada's experimental Stol service operated between Montreal and Toronto by Airtransit (an Air Canada subsidiary) in 1973. They were built with added FAR 25 equipment like Spoilers, anti-skid brakes, air conditioning and microwave landing systems. After the program was shut down due to lack of funding, the aircraft were operated by Transport Canada from 1976 and this one until 2000 . It's with Island Aviation Services in the Maldives as 8Q-IAL at the time of uploading. This photo is copyright © Gary Vincent, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
