This Lynx first flew in July 1976 and served upon HMS Amazon and HMS Broadsword. Prior to 1987 XZ246 was converted to HAS3(ICE) standard by the installation of specialised equipment for use in the Antarctic and embarked upon the Antarctic Patrol ship HMS Endurance. It was placed into storage in 2010 and is now on display, in these high-vis markings, at the South Yorkshire Aircraft Museum/Aeroventure. This photo is copyright © Alastair T.
