This vintage Catalina was owned by Wilson Edwards since 2000, but in 2019 it was sold to another owner. In early August 2020 it was one of two Catalinas and several other warbirds that were shipped from NAS North Island to Hawaii aboard the USS Essex (LHD-2) for the 75th VJ-Day celebrations there, marking the end of WWII for the USA.
