On a cloudy afternoon

This was the second Icelandair DC-8 with this registration. The earlier one was a DC-8-63CF.

Later registered 9G-MKE

MK old and new colours together. 9G-MKE was originally SE-DBD with SAS and reached MK in 3.95 after periods with ONA, Icelandair, Kabo and Overnight Cargo. Became 9T-TDA in 2005 then 9Q-CAQ operated by Hewa Bora for the Congo AF. Behind is 9G-MKC, my fabulous transport in via KGL and back home to MSE with a load of fresh veg, sadly broken up at Filton 26/27.2.08

Ex TF-FLB and bought in 2.88, being converted to -55F four months later. From 9.94 registered 5N-OCM (Overnight Cargo) then 5N-MKE/9G-MKE (MK Airlines), 9T-TDA (Congo Air Force) and by 2007 9Q-CAQ with Hewa Bora, continuing in service with the Congo AF as 9T-TCN

Initially flown by Icelandair as N916R on lease and re-registered when bought in 1.86. Became 5N-AWE with Kabo Air in 2.88 and converted to freighter; was active with the Congo Air Force in a grey scheme as 9T-TCN in 2011

When Icelandair leased this aircraft in 5.82 the registration was inherited from ONA's ownership since 1980. Originally SE-DBD of SAS and became TF-FLB in 1.86. Seen here pushing back from the old stand G14
