Leased from KLM. In July 1983 the aircraft was sold to United Air leasing as N29954 and leased out to Trans Arabian Air Transport, African Air Charter, and Trans African before being sold to Arax Air Lines as 5N-ARH. On 31st March 1988 it suffered an engine fire whilst taking off from Cairo and was destroyed when it crashed at the end of the runway; tragically the 4 crew were killed.

Purchased in July 1966, leased to KLM as PH-DCY from March 1969 till May 1973, re-registered to PK-GEA in May 1974, stored by April 1980. Bought by Omega Air in May 1985 as N225VV, then to Agro Air, later re-registered as HI-573CA, N573FB and N573FC, transferred to LAC Colombia as HK-3753X and badly damaged in a landing accident on October 15, 1992 and written off. First flight March 30th 1965, deliv new to SAS, their 1st DC-8-55 on April 27th 1965 as SE-DBD "Folke Viking". In June 1970 SE-DBD was transfrd to Scanair. October 1979 N721UA, and leased to TAE as EC-DIH in november 1979. Sept 16th 1980 N916R ONA, May 14th 1982 TF-FLB Icelandair (leased from ONA in basic ONA colours). January 15th 1986 TF-FLB Icelandair, 1987 TF-FLB repainted to FI colours and named "Sudurfari". 02-1988 5N-AWE Kabo Air, converted to freighter. Basic last Overseas National Airways - ONA colours

Originally to JAL as JA8017 Sep 1966, which operate it until 1979. On picture, still on Holidair colors, which it was wearing 1989. Latest lease for Hispaniola Airways ended Feb 1993 and it is about to go for to final operator African International Airways as 3D-AIA. Scrapped 1995 at LUX/ELLX.

It had been on lease to KLM since Mar 1969 and in KLM livery. It was about to be returned to Garuda (PK-GJD) on 22 May and had already been repainted when this shot was taken. Re-reg PK-GEA May 1974. Later with Agro Air as N225VV, HI-573CA and N573FB. To LAC Jan 1992. Re-reg HK-3753X Jun 1992. Damaged beyond repair on landing at Medellin, Colombia, 15 Oct 1992.
