D-4686 was built by Walter Schneider, first flight 19-Apr-1964. In 2004 it was handed over to the Deutsches Segelflugmuseum at Wasserkuppe. This was the second of the two D-36s built and differed from V-1 by having a parachute brake instead of spoilers. The D-36 was one of the first glassfiber sailplanes. V-1 won the German National Championships in 1964 and became second in the World Championships in 1965

After the war it was captured by British forces and it became RAFGGA521 with the Royal Air Force Germany Gliding Association. In Apr-1972 it became BGA1711. In 1974 it went to the Deutsches Segelflugmuseum at Wasserkuppe. There it was painted as D-12-354. In the circle on the fin should be a swastika, but in Germany it is legally not allowed to show that.

The Ka-1 was the first design by Rudolf Kaiser who later became famous as designer with Schleicher. It first flew in 1952 and about 10 were amateur-built. This one was built as a Ka-1 glider by Kurt Schauer and Fritz Kraus in 1954. In 1957 it was converted by Kurt Schauer to a Ka-1M motorglider with a Lloyd LS-400 engine but due to problems in obtaining a permit the development was abandoned. In 1980 it went to the Deutsches Segelflugmuseum at Wasserkuppe.

Schleicher built 65 in total and an unknown number were built by gliding clubs and individuals. The last one built is the one shown here, built by Klaus Heyn from 1983 to 1986. It went to the Deutsches Segelflugmuseum at Wasserkuppe painted to commemorate D-GÜNTHER GROENHOFF from the 1930s.

This is a replica of the very first rocket-engined aircraft in the world. The original Ente was built as a glider and made its first flight in Jun-1927. It was converted as the Raketen-Ente and as such flew on 11-Jun-1928, first with two 12 kg rockets and in the end with two 20 kg ones. The rockets were ignited after a bungee launch. It then flew 1400m in one minute. On a later flight the same day the aircraft caught fire but a safe landing could hastily be made. In Oct-1928 it was exposed at the ILA Berlin. The non-airworthy replica was built by the Deutsches Segelflugmuseum.

The Rhönsperber was designed for Schweyer by Hans Jacobs and the prototype made its first flight in Mar-1935. The aircraft on the photo was built somewhere between 1935 and 1938 and its cn and original registration are unknown. It later became D-6262 until cancelled in Jul-1970. Then it went to Sammlung Welzhofer in Günzburg until acquired by the Deutsches Segelflugmuseum at Wasserkuppe. To commemorate the first prototype D-Rhönsperber from 1935 the museum painted it in that aircraft's contemporary markings (except for the text on the fin).

However, two years later, on May 18, 1924, he set a new world endurance record of 8 hours and 42 minutes with it. This is a replica of the aircraft that took part in the first American national soaring contest in 1930. It became famous in 1931 when it flew over New York. This replica was built by Klaus Heyn and first flew in 1999. It was later handed over to the Segelflugmuseum at Wasserkuppe
