Built as a HSS-1N, to US Navy 149841, to Netherlands Navy 136 taken on charge Mar-1962, renamed as SH-34J Sep-1962 but here at this 1963 photo still carrying HSS-1N on the fin, ditched into the North Sea near Noordwijk due to engine problems 17-Aug-1965. Due to salt water damage it was not repaired. It carries here the code D for the aircraft carrier Karel Doorman, and the badge of 8 Sqn behind the cockpit.

PH-308 registered Apr-1963 (a week before the photo), to BGA2930 registered Jan-1984, last flight 14-Nov-1987, sold to Aviodome museum at Amsterdam-Schiphol in 1991 and restored to airworthy status. In Sep-1992 it made a few photo flights painted as PH-308 with an exemption from being officially registered. After that it went on display. In 2003 it moved to the Aviodrome museum at Lelystad. The Sagitta was designed by Piet Alsema and built by Vliegtuigbouw. It was first flown on July 4, 1960. Only 21 were built.
