'Wounded Sgt Billie Owens running from downed helicopter to LCpl Farley, waiting aboard Yankee Papa 13.' The Vietcong were waiting when a force of UH-34s and US Army UH-1s approached a landing zone. Most of the helicopters were damaged and two Hueys plus 150572, reported to have been YP-3, were lost. British photographer Larry Burrows was in the thick of the Vietnam War and was killed in a helicopter shootdown in Laos in February 1971. He was 44 years old. Photo by: Larry Burrows / Life
