VH-AAB was a British-built version of the German Klemm Swallow. It came to Australia in 1937 from India , where it had been registered VT-AIG. The picture was taken in the Marshall Airways hangar, where the Swallow was being checked before returning to the register after a rebuild. That is a genuine Bf109G in the background along with a DH84 Dragon and Marshall's Avro Cadet VH-AGH. VH-AAB was still registered in 2017.
