This A6M5 was shot down on 19 June 1944, crash landing in a swamp near Agana Airfield, Guam. It was discovered in 1962 and was shipped to Japan in 1964. It was restored with the original markings it wore when assigned to the 343 Kokutai at Agana. It is currently on display at the JASDF Museum in Hamamatsu, Japan.

The KM-2 was used by the JMSDF as a primary trainer, with the first one delivered in 1962. The KM-2 is a derivative of the Beech T-34.

Not a good day for an airshow! In spite of the all day rain there was a large crowd interested in the static display aircraft.

This TF-15A a/c was later redesignated a F-15B. In 1976 this TF-15A was used by McDonnell Douglas for a world wide sales tour, including this visit to Japan. For the tour it was painted in U.S. Bicentennial markings. Later in its career it became the prototype for the F-15E Strike Eagle program. It eventually ended up in Saudi Arabia as an instructional airframe. It currently is located at the RSAF Museum in Riyadh.

A Sabre supplied to Japan under MDAP (allocated serial 55-5105) as a kit and assembled by Mitsubishi. Delivered to the JASDF 13 Jun 1958. Withdrawn from use in Jul 1977 and returned to the USA, then taken on charge by the US Navy as QF-86F Bu555105.

This early Kawasaki-Vertol was registered to Kawasaki Heavy Industries as JA9509 on 6 Jun 1969 and based at their Gifu factory. It was registered to Airlift on 7 Dec 1990, which changed its name to Kawasaki Helicopter Systems in Oct 1992. The helicopter was cancelled from the Japanese register on export to the USA on 8 Feb 2006, but no subsequent N registration is known.

This Tracker, which still carries its former US Navy serial 136681 under the tail plane, was returned to the US Navy in 1977 and stored at Atsugi Air Base, Japan. It was one of eleven ex-Japanese Trackers sold to Native Alaskan Reclamation and Pest Control (Lester Risley) on 27 January 1978, to be converted to airtankers. Registration N217AK was reserved for this aircraft, but in the end Mr. Risley was unable to complete the deal and none of the aircraft ever left Japan. Instead, all eleven were repossessed by the US Navy on 23 January 1979 and ten were subsequently broken up for scrap. The eleventh Tracker (ex 4108) went to South Korea for display at the War Memorial of Korea in Seoul.

This very distant and poor shot shows four Sabres stored on the other side of the runway (two are seen nose-on). On the right is RF-86F 62-6420, and on the left is RF-86F 62-6416. Both were about to be returned to the US Department of Defense.

Unfortunately this Orion crashed in Pago Pago, Samoa on 17 April 1980 while dropping skydivers during Samoa's Flag Day festivities.

Last noted on the dump at Kanoya Air Base in October 1990.
