It modified to GR7 and was involved in an accident on 24 Jul'03 when it crashed into hangar wall at RAF Wittering. Its nose section was damaged but the Harrier was repaired and returned to service late '03. It was modified to GR9 in Jul'08 and to GR9A by '10. The Harrier was withdrawn from use in Dec'10, stored at RAF Cottesmore and sold to the US Marine Corps by early '12. It was placed in storage at AMARG where it is since apr'12.
