This aircraft was delivered to the RAAF in June 1975 as A19-040. It served with 1FTS at Point Cook and in 1989 took part in a 70th anniversary re-enactment of the first crossing of Australia by air, as you can see from the sticker underneath the windscreen. This Tiger Moth was built for the RAAF and saw wartime service as A17-385. It was one of the earlier Tigers on the civil Register, becoming VH-AKE on Christmas Eve, 1946. In the 1950s it was on the strength of the Canberra Aero Club, but now resides in private hands in Kerang, Vic. Here is is visiting the Kyneton Easter Airshow.
