This aircraft started life as a 1957 Tri-Pacer, registered new in Australia on 25 October that year. In about 2003 it was converted to Pacer (i.e. taildragger) starndard. It's seen here at the Antique Aeroplane Association of Australia's Auster Rally.

Mick Wright's Auster at yet another AAAA Fly-in - this time, appropriately, the Auster Rally. This Gawler-based aircraft was registered new in Australia in June 1952.

Attending the Antique Aeroplane Association of Australia's Auster Rally at Broken Hill was Graeme Smith's newly-restored Auster J.5F Aiglet Trainer VH-BYF(2). The aircraft made its first flight following a decade-long restoration to immaculate condition only a week before the event. It has an interesting pedigree, being a composite of the fuselage of the former VH-BYE and the wings of VH-SAE, which was originally registered VH-BYF(1) in 1953!

This Albury-based Aerobat was visting the Antique Aeroplane Association of Australia's Auster Rally. It's a 1970-model and was first registered in Australia on 4 January 1972. It's the fourth aircraft to carry this rego, the others being a Skylane, a Skywagon and a Pawnee, not to mention a C-47 during the War that was allocated the radio callsign VHCDW.

This 1979 Archer was originally N29268. It was re-registered VH-FBF(3) on 16 February 1990 and is seen here attending the Antique Aeroplane Association of Australia's Auster Rally.

This immaculate Tri-Pacer has had a long history in Australia, being first registered on 28 March 1958. It was photographed at the Antique Aeroplane Association of Australia's Auster Rally.

This aircraft is listed as 1979-production although it carries a 1980 cn. It was originally N8133D and the US Register shows it as having been exported to Vanuatu in 1991. In any case, it was re-registered in Australia as VH-AVQ(5) on 28 June 1994. It's based at Broken Hill and is seen here taking people on a local sightseeing flight during the Antique Aeroplane Association of Australia's Auster Rally.
