Patrouille Suisse at ILA

The rather dated Terminal A at Schonefeld, which is due to be closed in 2011 with the opening of Brandenburg International. A rather strange photograph is displayed to right of a kiss between the former Soviet Leader Leonid Brezhnev and the former East German Leader Erich Honecker.

A former East German government aircraft (ex DDR-SEN, operated in Interflug livery), photographed during its short career with the Luftwaffe. It was added to their inventory on 3 October 1990, and was disposed of in 1993, when it was sold to Alim-Air Lines as UK-86932. It was reportedly scrapped in 2010.

As of 3 October 1990 the East German DDR-prefix was no longer valid, and all active DDR- registered aircraft had to be reregistered. This Interflug Il-18 DDR-STI became D-AOAP. In 1995 it became RA-75554 (2nd use), and it was scrapped at Johannesburg in 2000.

The ILA code 81 and the name are only carried on the left-hand side.
