The Armée de l'Air has received 17 Pilatus PC-21 trainers leased from the Babcock company.

The Breguet 941 was a 1961 STOL design which raised interest abroad, but only the prototype plus four aircraft for the Armée de l'Air were built. The type went on sales tours in the USA as the McDonnell 188 in June 1964, and again as the McDonnell Douglas 188 from June 1968 until June 1969. All four aircraft were withdrawn from use in 1974.
The third production aircraft is seen here at the Parc Avenue theme park, still under reconstruction at the time. The park was formerly known as Aerocity, which closed in 2002. It reopened as Parc Avenue in 2010, only to close again in December 2014. This aircraft then moved on to the Ailes Anciennes collection at Toulouse-Blagnac.

During exercise Cutlass Express off the coast of Djibouti, multiple Mirage 2000s of the Djibouti based French Air Force squadron "attacked" the Dutch Navy ship HNLMS Johan de Witt (L-801). Initially, the aircraft attacked a decoy that was towed several hundred metres behind the ship with live ammunition. Later during the exercise, the Mirage 2000s simulated high speed rockets, resulting in the jets passing the ship at very low level.

With R550 and Matra AS-37 Martel missiles on the hardpoints.

One of the 2 French Air Force Transall involved in "Ellebore" operation on behalf on ICRC to support famished people of southern Sudan. They operated between December 1988 and April 1989 from Entebbe airport (Uganda) to Akon and Yirol improvised unpaved landing strips in Sudan.
