First delivered to Malaysia Airlines as 9M-BBJ in 1999. Assigned to the Malaysian Air Force's Royal Fleet from 2003. The 737 was sold as 2-SGSG in 2018.

The RMAF acquired eight F/A-18D Hornets in 1997. To celebrate 25 years of service, 18 Sqn painted the first Hornet in this attractive scheme, seen arriving back at Darwin airport as part of the Pitch Black exercise 2024.

Delivered to the Royal Malaysian Air Force as FM-1054 in 1963. Later reserialled as FM-1601. Sold to Prinair in 1981 and used for parts for parts at Opa Locka. Registered as N588PR in 1983 which was not applied. Still there in 1986. Later scrapped.

32 years old and still going strong!

Delivered new to the RMAF in January of 1977 carrying serial FM-1720. It was then re-serialled to M23-16 in 1984 and is reported to have briefly carried civilian registration 9M-ZAR in 2008 (for modification and certification work?). A total of 16 RMAF S-61's were written off over the years, with M23-16 being the last one, suffering a hard landing on August 2, 2019. Actually, this very accident - luckily without loss of life - sealed the fate of the surviving 12 or so RMAF's Nuris, as the fleet was permanently grounded. Keeping them airworthy has become an issue in the previous years anyway.
