This photo is not for NL-12M (MiG-21U) 909 in the foreground, but for the aircraft behind it! This was the best possible photo from accessible areas to document it. 25721 is a RJ-2 reconnaissance aircraft, designated IJ-22 in the Yugoslav Air Force. In 1992 it was transferred to the Serbia-Montenegro Air Force. After phase-out it ended up in the storage area of the Muzej Vazduhoplovstva Beograd where it was first noted in Jun-1997. This decoy L-18 (MiG-29B) was built in 1999 during the Kosovo War. It was designed by Lt Col Ivanov, a pilot of 204.FAR and constructed by woodworking company Vojvodina. A total of 6 were built and 5 of them were destroyed in NATO airstrikes. This one survived a hit by an air-to-ground missile because it did not explode. It was damaged but not destroyed. In 2013 it arrived at the Muzej Vazduhoplovstva Beograd and by the end of 2017 it was fully restored.
