In 1972, Captain Steve Ritchie shot down 5 Mig 21s to become the only USAF pilot ace of the Vietnam War. This was one of two F-4Es (68-0531 the other), specially painted in Vietnam era markings, at the USAF 50th anniversary Airshow at Nellis AFB in April 1997. Please note the five red stars on the intake, representing the 5 air to air kills by Steve Ritchie.

Stealth fighter of the 49th FW, 9th FS, 'Flying Knights' is taxiing back after the display. Obviously the skin of this F-117A has been repaired close to the insignia, which is partially not visible anymore.

This F-4 is used by German crews for flight training at Holloman AFB, hence the German flag tail colours and tailcode 'HO'.

Built in 1976 it was registered in France as F-CEQB. In Mar-1991 it was registered in Belgium as OO-ZYB. It is seen here landing on Rwy 24.

Ritchie fittingly flew this F-4E, specially painted in Vietnam era markings, at the USAF 50th anniversary Airshow at Nellis AFB in April 1997. This Phantom was one of two painted for this occasion as Steve Ritchie's Vietnam Mig Killer, which actually was 66-7463 for three kills and has been withdrawn from service long before.
