Sainte Léocadie, in the French Pyrénées, hosts the CVM (Centre de Vol en Montagne/ mountain flying training centre), a small ALAT facility used not only to train ALAT helicopter crews, but also draws many rotorcrafts from the other French helicopters state operators, as well as from other European countries. This AS 355 is normally based in Dugny-Le Bourget.

In service with the Armée de l'Air from May 1961 to Oct 1988, including for six years (62-68) based in Israel for the Air Attaché in post in Tel Aviv! Last unit BA114 (Aix-les-Milles) whose code "44-CD" was kept. Wfu Jul 1988 with 2400 flight hours, re-registered F-GFVV the following year.

The bort number has been painted over, making the identification difficult.

Very sorry state for this unidentified T-Bird whose Yugoslav AF markings have been overpainted. On the other side of the road, in a North Macedonian army barracks, was a much better looking, pole mounted F-86. Unfortunately, an armed sentry was posted to make sure that nobody would take pictures!

Equipped with the gunsight and the four TOW missile launchers. Now preserved in Göteborg-Säve with the Aeroseum.

The third (out of eight) pre-production Puma was also the last one with this distinctive nose shape. It first flew on the 2 March 1966. Now stored in the museum's reserves, it has been equipped with the self-propelled landing gear originally tested on the SA 330-06. Noteworthy is also the box-shaped sand filter on the air intakes.
