Sold in Australia as VH-ORA. Confusion exists as the true identity of this aircraft. The original N8307 was destroyed in a crash in 1978. It was resurrected using the fuselage of an ex-US Army aircraft. The FAA continued using the same USMC serial (129020) as the first aircraft. It has therefore continued to be c/n 55102, which is correct for 129020. While VH-ORA is reputed to have the dataplate from the US Army aircraft, what it says remains unknown.

The Sabena chopper arrived from the Keukenhof tulip gardens as there was talk about springtime Brussels - Rotterdam - Keukenhof - Haarlem - Zandvoort services, although it was really more about local sightseeing flights, with Sabena finding the Dutch more enthusiastic about its helicopters than the Belgian public. Flights for the 1955 bulb season were cancelled with the airline complaining about the high trees at the Haarlem site. Based at NAF Oppama near Yokohama, Marine Helicopter Transport Squadron HMR-162 'Golden Eagles' traded its HRS-1 Chickasaws for twenty HRS-3s in 1956. It features a 5-blade rotor instead of the standard 3-blade one, revised engine intakes and exhausts, and noise-suppressing engine covers. It also has extra large windows to improve the passenger's view. The conversion was certified in December 1999. This example still carries its old Papillon colours.
